A delicious meal

While mother and I were doing the grocery
shopping we passed one of those stands that let you have
samples of certain food products. We decided
to try a sample of "chicken alfredo".
The lady told us the price of the product
and adding it all together we found that it would come out to the
grand total of: $16:00 for our family.
Now that is rather expensive for a frozen meal so, we
set out to make the same thing the only difference being that we would
make it from scratch. All we used was a box of whole wheat penne, a bag of
mixed vegetables, some grilled and seasoned chicken
breast, and alfredo sauce.
Cook the penne and drain, do the
same with the vegetables.
Season the chicken with salt and
garlic powder. cook.
Make or buy the alfredo sauce(we made ours).
Cut the chicken into chunks then toss everything
together.

Make a salad and some
sweet tea and voila, you have a delicious meal
that everyone will like and it's all under: $7:00.

Delicious cravings

A few days ago my mother had the craving for
some chocolate cake, well you know what that means
" Bethany I feel like eating some chocolate cake".
I went to look for the recipe and.... "Oh no !!!
Mom left the cookbook at Belton".
Alright I have to think up something fast, I start
skimming through our other cookbooks and
stumble upon a recipe
for "surprise fudge cupcakes".
I decided to try them.

They were soooo good!!!
It didn't have too much chocolate
and mother enjoyed them.
The one thing I did not like was the icing
it was a little too strong for my taste however, Victoria sure
enjoyed it. I love being able to make tasty treats for my
family that everyone can enjoy.

Home sweet home

Finally home!!!
My family and I arrived home last Thursday but with all
the unpacking to do, organizing rooms and just plain
living, we have been really busy.
I shall now give a brief (if that is possible!!)
history of our recent travels.

We left our house in Greenville for Belton
on Tuesday and stayed there 'til Thursday morning. We spent
a quite relaxed time there. My father took Jared and David
fishing and Jared caught the one and only
fish, still they all enjoyed it.
On Thursday morning we went back to Greenville to
drop of Shiloh at Camilo's house. After that we set of
for Charlseton to spend some vacation time with my aunt, cousins and a friend.

On Friday we went to a very quite, private beach,
it was beautiful!!!
Everybody enjoyed being able to swim in the water
and feel the sun shine on them.
Saturday we went to some outlet stores, and then we left around
1:20 to Rock hill.
We arrived in Rock Hill around 4:30 and went to dinner with the
pastor.
My dad preached all day Sunday and in the evening on Monday,
Tuesday and Wednesday.
Of course, mother managed to make time for
history, we went to Historic Brattonsville
where a battle took place( I can't remember which
battle it was).
For those of you that have seen the Patriot,
25% of it was filmed on this site.

After a tour of some of the buildings we left for
a delicious Cuban lunch.
We returned home on Thursday after a long week and a half and
it sure is good to be home.

Away to Belton and beyond

I shall not be able to post for quite a while as
we shall be going to Belton tomorrow and Wednesday.
From there we shall go to Charleston Thursday and Friday ,
and from there we will go to a conference at Rock Hill from Sunday to
Thursday. I will be able to post after that and get ready for our trip
to Walkertown, N.C. for a another conference at the end of the month.
Well, until then.

Snip,snip,snip!!!

The last thing in the world I thought I would do was
cut my hair!!!
Haviland and I had been informed at the family gathering on Monday
by my sister-in-law's brother's wife of an organization
called Locks of love where you donate hair to people with cancer and
other illnesses who have lost their hair. It is a non-profit organization
that provides real wigs to people who need them yet can't afford to buy them.
You are supposed to donate at least 10 inches so...snip,snip,snip
went the scissors.
Here are some before and after pictures.

Before and

after.

Before

And

After.

It was a BIG sacrifice but I am glad that someone can enjoy
having hair and Haviland and I know it was the right thing to do.

The photographer was a little jealous so he decided to take quite
a few pictures of himself, I shall limit it to only 1. LOL!!!

We will send of our locks of love as soon as possible.

Aunts, uncles and nephews

Now that we have officially put all June birthdays behind us,
(there were 3 more besides the 2 I put, Frankys
Jessicas and Calebs)
we were able to visit my nephews which are here for
the 4th of July.
Our whole immediate family was there and we
were all able to enjoy the time we spent together.

Here is the proud granddad with his
grandsons Hayden and Ethan.

The 3 older brothers were happy to finally
spend some time together.

Isn't it funny that Victoria is only 3 months
older than her nephew?
I really enjoy being able to be with my family
and see my nephews. I really am so blessed!!!
