The last two years--condensed

After my prolonged absence from the blogging world -- I'm back! And with so much to tell! It has been a very -- wild (for lack of a better word) couple of years! Though some things were not enjoyable and some things were bitter-sweet it has been an over all amazing two years of seeing God's hand and faithfulness displayed in a very real way for our family.
So what's happened to us?? I'm glad you asked :)  Since 2013:

My dear brother, Caleb, graduated from BJU, went to police academy, graduated, and is now a GCPD policeman. I am so proud of him and blessed to be a part of his life.

I had another birthday ;), graduated high school, had my last piano recital, and graduated with a separate high school degree in piano.

My dad resigned the pastorate after 23 yrs. and a time of transition began for all of us. It was rather hard at times but God has been so good! Daddy has started his own construction services company and we are experiencing a unique time of starting fresh, from scratch, and doing totally new things.

As we had been living in the church parsonage, we now had to find a home to live in. For those of y'all who know us, you may remember the house we were living in.  We were thankful for that small house, and truth is I kinda miss it at times, but God had something special for us and literally dropped our new home into our laps. And it is a looooot more spacious ;)
However, this home was a MAJOR fixer-upper and we were not sure where, or even how, to begin. God had a plan there too.  Recently we had reconnected with some old friends, who just happen to know everything about construction/remodeling/building. So with the help of the Greene boys -- and their immense stash of tools -- and along with other friends, we set out to transform our new home.

Ezra Greene custom built this bed for me!

I painted this on Havi's wall--It is Korean for love.

Well I could show you many more rooms of the house but I don't want to bore my dear readers, I hope this gave you a glimpse of how the house was and what we have done to it. It was an extremely long, tiring project but we learned ever so much!

We also had the privilege of celebrating my moms 50th birthday and hosting an enormous party for her. It was so much fun and we were so happy to be able to have everyone over to the new house.

Well truth is, quite a bit more has occurred in the last years but these were the big things. So, I hope you all enjoy a glimpse back into our lives and Lord willing I will stay up to date on blogging from here on out.

It's so good to see you back, Bethany! I've missed your posts. You have had lots of changes over the past few years, some of which I'm sure were difficult. The Lord most certainly knows what He is doing and I'm excited to see how He leads you over the next many years!

It's so good to hear from you Ashley! It really has been too long, and yes, some things were difficult, but God is good and He has used everything to draw me closer to Him. I still have a lot to learn lol!
Love,
Bethany
