Our team (aptly called "The Hobbits")-- Sarah Kelly, Chloe, Havi and I--pre-race. The morning dawned cold and rainy so we were already pretty damp before even starting.
Lining up at the Start line-- my sweet family (including my brother, Camilo) came out in the rain to cheer us on : )
And off they go!
The course was 3.5 miles (give or take a little) and included obstacles such as: climbing dirt mounds, crawling in trenches filled with water, swimming through deeper trenches, crawling under an Army jeep, crawling under logs, walking over logs, climbing steep mud hills, scaling a 10 ft. wall, and a large water slide--to name a few. It took us about an hour and a half to complete, considering we walked most of it hehe.
Giant water slide : )
AND...mad dash to the beautiful finish line! (as you see its not a "clean" race LOL).
And there you have it, a glimpse into the Simpsonville Mud Mania in the comfort of your home. Hope you enjoyed!
